Problem Statement
Many individuals seeking spiritual growth also experience moments of stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. Faithy’s objective was to provide users with a simple, accessible, and meaningful way to connect Bible verses to their current mood, blending spiritual guidance with emotional support.
Question: How can we design an intuitive platform that connects Bible verses to users' emotions for spiritual and emotional support?
02
Solution
The primary task was to develop an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing mobile application that allows users to let users select their current mood, receive relevant Bible verses tailored to their emotional state. But also seamlessly engage with spiritual and mental well-being resources. The app also needed to align with modern app design trends while maintaining simplicity and a calming interface.

Interview (3 persons)
Market research: Noticed market standards was Bible Study Apps who focus solely on delivering Bible verses and study plans without considering the emotional state of the user. Competitors such as YouVersion or Bible Gateway offer large amounts of content but lack personalized mood-based recommendations. While apps like Calm and Headspace focus on mental well-being, then we have the niche apps, where faith and mental health is combined. But often lack user experience and design appeal. Faithy aims to bridge this gap with a more integrated and user-friendly solution.
User research: I conducted interviews and surveys to gain insights into user behaviors and needs when searching for comfort through apps. From this research, I identified two primary user personas.
The Busy Practitioner: Prefers quick, personalized support that fits her busy schedule. Needs a seamless, user-friendly design to avoid switching between apps.
The Spiritual Seeker: Seeks a private, personalized experience that blends spirituality and emotional support. Values calming, visually appealing design for easy engagement.
Overall Insight is to focus on personalization, ease of use, and emotional connection to grow trust and engagement.

The app received positive feedback, showing its potential to blend emotional support with spiritual guidance. I am excited to continue developing Faithy, with plans for user testing, refinements, and adding community features for shared experiences.
Designing Faithy taught me the importance of user research and testing in creating a meaningful experience. Working alone, I balanced quick changes with a clear design, while also learning about technical limits. This project showed me the value of testing and teamwork for future development.
